- PN-EN ISO 14122-2:2005 – Machinery — Safety — Permanent means of access to machinery — Part 2: Working platforms and walkways — Specifies safety requirements, location, dimensions, devices and equipment, flooring, and nominal loads.

- Regulation of the Minister of Labor and Social Policy of September 26, 1997, on general occupational health and safety regulations (consolidated text: Journal of Laws of 2003, No. 169, item 1650, as amended) – this regulates the issue of working at heights and the requirements that must be met by, among other things, platforms and other equipment.
- The Regulation of the Council of Ministers of July 16, 2002, on the types of technical equipment subject to technical supervision (Journal of Laws No. 120, item 1021, as amended) stipulates that mobile platforms are subject to the Technical Inspection Authority, and persons operating them must have the appropriate qualifications.
According to regulations, equipment should be stable and secured against uncontrolled movement, sufficient for employees, tools, and necessary materials. The floor must be level, and information on the permissible load must be displayed in a visible place. Before use, a technical inspection must be carried out in accordance with regulations.
