Purpose, legal basis, and duration of data processing

In connection with the services we provide, we process your personal data for various purposes. We may also process it when you visit our website. Below, we have listed all situations in which we process your data, along with the scope of the data and the legal basis in accordance with the GDPR.

  • Data obtained through the form at https://tasko-us.com/contact/ is processed based on your consent, for the purpose corresponding to the form (i.e., to respond to the question submitted via the contact form), for a period of 3 years from the date of the last contact regarding the matter in question, or until you withdraw the above-mentioned consent. To enable us to respond to your inquiry, we process data such as:
    • first and last name,
    • e-mail,
    • company name (optional),
    • phone number,
    • message.
  • Data obtained for the performance of a contract – processed because they are necessary to provide the service and to inform you about changes or new/similar TASKO Inc. services (i.e., direct marketing of our own services) that may be of interest to you, until the cooperation ends or you withdraw your consent. In the case of data processed for tax, accounting, or other legal purposes, they are retained for the period specified by applicable legal regulations.
  • Data obtained through the form at https://tasko-us.com/kariera/ – i.e., data of job applicants – are processed based on the consent given by the candidate to be used in one or more current or future recruitment processes. To enable us to consider your job application, we process data such as:
    • first and last name,
    • e-mail,
    • telephone number,
    • data from the CV file as an attachment.

Your personal data will be retained for the duration of the recruitment process, and for no longer than 12 months from the date of receipt of your application. With your consent, the data provided may be stored for the purposes of future recruitment for a period not exceeding 24 months from the date of receipt of your application.

Profiling
We perform profiling solely to tailor the content of the website pages to the User’s preferences and to optimize the use of the website. In particular, cookies allow us to recognize the User’s device and display the website properly, customized to their individual needs.

Who we share your data with and where we pass it on
Your personal data may be transferred to entities that process personal data (e.g., suppliers of IT systems and services) at the request of TASKO Inc., based on a data processing agreement.

We may provide your personal data if requested by authorized state authorities, in particular organizational units of the prosecutor’s office, the Police, the President of the Personal Data Protection Office, the President of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection, or the President of the Office of Electronic Communications.

Our suppliers are based in Poland and other countries within the European Economic Area (EEA), for example, in Ireland. Some of our suppliers are located outside the EEA. In connection with the transfer of your personal data outside the EEA, we ensure that our suppliers provide a high level of personal data protection. These guarantees are provided, in particular, through the use of standard contractual clauses adopted by the European Commission (EU) or through participation in the Privacy Shield program established by the Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2016/1250 of 12 July 2016 on the adequacy of the protection provided by the EU-US Privacy Shield.

Cookies placed on the User’s device may also be used by partners and third parties cooperating with the Website operator (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Google, and others).

What rights you have
We want you to know that you have the following rights:

  • Access to your data and the right to receive a copy. You have the right to obtain confirmation from us as to whether we process your personal data, and if so, you also have the right to:
    • to get access to your personal data,
    • to obtain information about: the purposes of processing; the categories of personal data processed; the recipients or categories of recipients of your data; the planned storage period or the criteria used to determine it; your rights under the GDPR and the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority; the source of your data; automated decision-making, including profiling; and the security measures applied in connection with the transfer of your data outside the European Union,
    • to obtain a copy of your personal data.
  • to rectify (correct) data. You have the right to rectify and complete the personal data you provide. You can do this yourself in the Settings (Privacy) tab. For other personal data, you have the right to request that we correct any inaccurate data and complete any incomplete data;
  • to delete data (the right to be forgotten) – if, in your opinion, there is no legal basis for us to process your data, you may request that we delete it. You have the right to request the deletion of personal data if:
    • you have withdrawn your specific consent to the extent that personal data was processed based on your consent;
    • your personal data are no longer necessary for the purposes for which they were collected or processed;
    • you have objected to the use of your data for marketing purposes;
    • you objected to the use of your data for the purpose of keeping statistics on the use of the Website and satisfaction surveys, and the objection was considered justified;
    • your personal data is processed unlawfully.

Despite a request to delete personal data, in connection with an objection or the withdrawal of consent, we may retain certain personal data to the extent necessary for the purpose of establishing, investigating, or defending claims. This applies, in particular, to personal data such as your name, surname, e-mail address, and application history, which we retain for handling complaints and claims related to the use of our services.

  • restrictions on the processing of personal data – you may request that we restrict the processing of your personal data to storage only or to activities agreed with you, if you believe that the data we hold about you is inaccurate or is being processed unlawfully, if you do not want us to delete it because you need it for establishing, investigating, or defending claims, or for the duration of an objection to data processing. You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data in the following cases:
    • when you dispute the accuracy of your personal data, we will restrict its processing for the time necessary to verify its accuracy, but for no longer than 30 days;
    • 2hen the processing of your data is unlawful, and instead of requesting its deletion, you ask for the restriction of its use;
    • when your personal data are no longer necessary for the purposes for which they were collected or used, but you require them to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims;
    • when you object to the processing of your personal data – the restriction will apply for the period necessary to assess whether, due to your particular situation, the protection of your interests, rights, and freedoms outweighs the legitimate interests pursued by us in processing your data.
  • to object to the processing of your data for the purpose of direct marketing. If you exercise this right, we will stop processing your data for this purpose. If your objection is well-founded and we have no other legal basis for processing your personal data, we will delete the data whose processing you objected to;
  • to transfer data – you have the right to receive, in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format (e.g. CSV), the personal data you have provided to us on the basis of your consent. You may also request that we transfer this data directly to another entity;
  • lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority. You may submit complaints, inquiries, and requests to us regarding the processing of your personal data and the exercise of your rights. If you believe that we are processing your data unlawfully, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (PUODO), located at ul. Stawki 2 in Warsaw, or with another competent supervisory authority.

Remember that you have the right to withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal data at any time. The withdrawal of consent is effective from the moment it is made and does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal. Withdrawing consent does not entail any negative consequences for you; however, it may prevent you from using certain services or functionalities that we can only provide on the basis of your consent.

How you can claim your rights

To exercise your rights, please send a request to info@tasko-us.com. Before fulfilling your request, we must confirm your identity to ensure that you are the person who provided us with the data. We will comply with or refuse your request without undue delay, and no later than one month after receiving it. If, due to the complexity of the request or the number of requests, we are unable to respond within one month, we may extend this period by up to two additional months. In such a case, we will inform you in advance about the extension and the reasons for it. For technical reasons, it may take up to 30 days to update your preferences in our systems. As a result, you may still receive messages from us during this update period, even if you have opted out.

We take care of your data
We make every effort to ensure the security of your personal data. Our websites use encrypted data transmission (SSL) during registration and login, which protects your identifying data and significantly reduces the risk of unauthorized access to your account.

Cookies
The website does not automatically collect any information, except for information contained in cookies.

Cookies are IT data, primarily text files, stored on the User’s end device and used for accessing and navigating the Website. Typically, cookies contain the name of the website they originate from, the duration of their storage on the end device, and a unique identifier.

Video surveillance on the premises of the Company

Video surveillance at the Company covers building entrances, gates, and the surrounding areas. It is used to protect property, ensure the safety of people on the premises, and safeguard confidential information, the disclosure of which could cause harm to the Administrator. The processing of personal data is necessary to pursue the legitimate interests of the Administrator pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. Recorded data may be accessed by security companies providing services to the Administrator or by entities authorized under the law. Monitoring records are stored until they are overwritten (depending on the size of the recordings) for up to 30 days or until the conclusion of legal proceedings. You have the right to access your personal data, rectify it, delete it, restrict its processing, transfer it, and object, under the conditions set out in the GDPR. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority. Providing personal data is voluntary; however, failure to provide it will prevent entry to the Company’s premises.

People entering the Company’s premises

Your personal data will be processed pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR, for purposes related to the registration of individuals entering the Company’s premises or participating in events in the secured area. Recipients of your data may only be entities authorized to process it under applicable law. You have the right to access your personal data, rectify it, delete it, restrict its processing, object to its processing, and the right to data portability. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority. Providing personal data is voluntary; however, failure to provide it will prevent access to the Company’s premises.
